"I have very little doubt that this is the best outcome for the Democratic Party"

said Ruth Marcus on MSNBC

And I agree. It takes away a line of attack that the Repugs have been making against Dems.

Good move!

This will help in 2018.

right now? Especially in Minnesota, where we just got our vote taken away from us? And do you also not realize that Republicans have already proved beyond all doubt that they have no shame at all? They're about to elect a child molester to the Senate and they elected Trump knowing full well what he is. They just didn't care.

HUGE doubts.

Questioning his patriotism or the service himself.

Just like they didn't attack Obama on his birth place.

Just like their supporter for pussy grabber prevented them from attacking Franken.

And now let us speak no more about sexual harassment forever. The issue has been totally addressed, and need never be mentioned again. The Republic is saved.

By the way, anyone interested in buying a share of the Brooklyn Bridge? I got the deed to it right here.

They will just do it again and again and again... because it worked! There was no reason not or go through with the investigation he requested and for Dems to support the process instead of a lynching.

Donald Trump was a freakin' birther for crying out loud and he is now president. The Republicans will now be able to use Franken as a bat to beat Democrats with for a long time because he was not given an opportunity to defend himself against the accusations in a formal setting and because his Democratic "allies" abandoned him.
