Democrats did not take the High Road today

Today was an extra-judicial lynching and if that is to be the wonderful new democratic standard-that due process and rule of law are trumped by outraged moralizing and the baying of the pack, than I quit the party and so should every person who would not be willing to become prey for the hunt. I have not been so disappointed in an existing social milieu since my first reading of "To Kill a Mockingbird"...Every concern could have been addressed in a fair and open hearing AS ASKED FOR by the accused and instead this fucking travesty is being celebrated. It is pluperfect horseshit and I am ashamed

Useful Idiots is supposed to apply to Repug voters, not Dem "leaders". Sadly, the distinction is losing relevance.

I wonder if social media contributed to the frenzy. I feel like the news comes so fast today that people are reacting without thinking.

Really struggling here because I just don't see how I can continue to support people who don't give a damn about finding the truth.

That's what I care about most. I thought Democrats cared too. Today shows they don't.

One thing, after today I hope to be receiving far less email - unsubscribed to all those emails that ask me for money. Well, unsubscribing I should say. The list is long so it will take a while. There isn't an organization or Democrat who doesn't pummel me with emails asking for money - calls and surface mail too.

I know intellectually the Dem Party apparatus is the only vehicle available that could be used to make a difference due to the sheer size of the party. But I don't approve of this kind of difference - railroading one of the very best out of his hard earned seat.

This is a very bad day. My party has committed a travesty of justice.
