I think I found a teeny, tiny silver lining

Over the course of time, and especially the last few days, we now know that certain persons are not to be trusted to be our nominee in 2020.

You know exactly who they are now.

We need new blood or a candidate like Rep. Adam Schiff who has his eye on the ball.

1. Yup. That one who thought they'd eye the presidency might just forget all about it after this

3. This really could help us in the end. We can't afford this kind of poor thinking we're seeing

on exhibit here to determine the 2020 election.

Some of this was about positioning for that - Gillibrand, Harris etc. They seem to think the female vote will work for them but Trump won plenty of female votes. They don't have their eye on the ball. The issues we care about the most is getting our democracy back from the criminal enterprise known as the GOP. How about the tax scam? They should be focused there. Russia, like Franken was.

...they're pretty much on their own.

You have to wisely pick your fights and then fight them well. This was their lead balloon.

It wasn't too much to ask for a drop of due process for Franken. Instead, they ran to be the first to drop a guillotine.

They should have taken note of Sen. Menendez's self preservation tactics. I never saw too many Dems going after him when he prevailed. Like the saying goes

When we look at Menendez none of them cared about him. But Franken was truly popular and a possible contender for potus

And for a second I thought, "Oh, no. Our side wouldn't do that." Well, call me a maroon why dontcha. Of course they would. He enjoyed wild popularity for speaking truth to power. He would pose a threat to their ambitions.

be so happy to see him run AND WIN!

That would be just great with me. If there are any Democrats left to vote, that is.

7. I hear you! We really need some new voices, not necessarily younger but that would be

good too. We need to attract the under 40s, under 30s with someone who is truly smart and not trying to bank on "morality" for votes!

If Schiff won the primary I wouldn’t just support him, I would do so enthusiastically with my money and time.

11. It sure takes Uncle Joe out of the picture.

Joe Biden is a wonderful touchy, huggy person, and always has been by nature. Now he won't pass the DEM test. Better look for only women candidates from now on. With photoshopping and social media, any pics of any male can be made to look as harassment . Better find ya a boat load of women dems from now on. With accusations being the only test, every man is fair game. And no sane male should consider putting himself out there as a candidate
