We've completely jumped the shark. Facts, truth - don't register with the trump base and republican politicians know how to use them for their own personal desires. Right wing talk radio had a big hand in this. "Both sides do it" false equivalence media had a big hand in this.

We - Democrats, progressive thinking people - are in totally uncharted territory.

To the others, they are gleeful with democrats eating their own.
The others won't have higher standards because of Franken's resignation.
The others won't apply the same standards to their representatives.

It's all a game and the only thing that matters is does their side win.
