This is why i left the party in 2004. They refused to stand up and fight for Kerry when those Swift Boat pieces of human garbage were derailing his candidacy.

I could very easily just give up and become a Republican. Frankly they have more to offer people of my socioeconomic status than the Democrats.
No. I stick with progressive causes since I believe the world means more than just me. It's not about me. I work to promote fairness and tolerance and equality even if I know I as a white male might have to share the stage. I WANT to. I have 3 children - including a daughter - and I want them raised in a world of fairness so they understand it's a shared society of mutual obligations and not just "fuck you I got mine now I'm taking yours.".
The Democrats need to get a positive message of standing up, sticking together and demanding fairness while denouncing hypocrisy. Today showed they are less concerned with fairness for their own than using an event like this to show how "moral" they are. While throwing their most esteemed warrior onto the fire.
It's pathetic we're all desperately craning our necks to see if McCain or Collins or Murkowski or Graham or Flake or some other fucking Republican is actually going to SAY something about the GOP's latest depredations.
When meanwhile NOBODY seems to be asking why Schumer or Hillenbrand or Kaine or Pelosi (worthless) or Warren is standing by doing jack fucking shit.
