Those two things are the answer. Moore wants the races divided and the 10 Commandments on the walls of every courtroom. In Alabama, those issues will get you elected, even if you felt up half the 14 year olds in the state.

Sad, but true.

I fully expect Moore to win next Tuesday. I hope I'll be proven wrong, but Alabama is about as red a state as you can find. If creepy behavior with young teens doesn't stop voters, nothing will.

Alabama is one state I plan never to enter again in my life.

Luther Strange was appointed to fill Session's seat by a governor who had just resigned in shame - Strange was damaged goods.

A popular Republican Mo Brooks siphoned off some Strange votes in the primary, no one got a 50% majority, and we had a runoff.

Moore voters stick with him through thick and thin. They turnout to vote. 50, 60, 70 year old church-going conservatives.

This election rides on whether they come out and vote - or just stay home.

Keep in mind that apparently none of the allegations against him came out until after the Republican primary for the special election was over, so the allegations would not been a factor.

They are extremists. Unfortunately Moore is most likely gonna win too. I’d put Jones at a 30% chance. Repugs come home when it counts just like they did for Trump.

I’d have some faith if the entire GOP apparatus in AL hadn’t stuck to Moore like glue. They did it because they better they, better than anyone else , know the Alabama voters they have spent years cultivating.

12. George Will: Moore's Judicial History Precludes Him From Senate

Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore should have been disqualified from running for the Senate well before questions about sexual misconduct were raised, MSNBC contributor George Will said Thursday.

The veteran pundit noted that Moore has twice been tossed off the bench of his state Supreme Court, and argued that his record disqualified him from swearing an oath to the Constitution.

"The charges of sexual predation are distracting us from something that happened earlier — that this is a man who has twice been thrown off the bench in Alabama for his dislike of the American Constitution, his refusal to — well, actually theocratic position that his religious conscience trumps the Constitution," Will said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

"Now, that disqualifies him surely from taking the oath that they take when they pledge to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. But now we've forgotten about all that — we've forgotten that before the questions of his predatory sexual behavior came up, he was disqualified," Will said.

He was the Attorney General investigating the former Governor for a sex scandal when he was appointed Senator. Some saw it as a way of influencing the investigation. The Governor later resigned when he was about to be impeached. So Alabama republicans may have felt they had no good choices.
