Cowardly Democrats Failed To Stand Up To Reagan & Set The Stage For Trump.
The Democrats have been on the run and playing defense since Reagan. Reagan started all this and like slow lava the Reagan revolution has led to the new tax bill. And they still have not stood up. Ted Kennedy was the last real voice against GOP madness. Through every election cycle the Democrats have ceded bits of territory to the GOP.
Clinton's new "faux GOP" new Democrat scheme worked for a while But it led to Bush. Obama was our best chance and instead of acting really boldly the Democrats held back. Then they did not support Obama and attack the GOP racist obstructive agenda.
Franken was a new era of talk back. And he was targeted and the GOP took advantage of his miscues and mistakes deliberate or otherwise. The Franken affair really goes back to the time when the Democrats gave Reagan legislative victories when they controlled Congress when they should have stood up.
The message from the GOP speak out and you will be destroyed. You must talk to us like a slaver to his or her master. And the Democrats just seem to act like wimps. Franken's exposing Sessions is what really tipped the scales and spurred them to find something to hang Franken with. It is obvious that this was a RW hit job orchestrated by Trump allies.
The Democrat's stampede against Franken exposed how weak kneed the Democrats are. And it looks like the GOP is seizing the high ground by calling them a "lynch mob". Sadly the GOP attack will play well with white male voters in the long run.
None of the Democrats challenged Trump to resign or attack Moore as a racist pedophile while they sacrificed Franken. Their strategy may yet pay off, but it looks like a big mistake.
