Wouldn't we want a thorough vetting of claims before rushing to judgement?

If false claims are prematurely honored and careers are ruined, doesn't that damage this very important movement?

1. Accused be damned!

Why investigate the allegations when you can just take the high road by supporting accusers? T’is much less intellectually taxing.

2. The problem there is that there is a history of these sorts of claims being dismissed / ignored

and of the people making the accusations seeing their job situation and life worsen. So there is built in bias to dismiss those sort of incidents - it's possible that we are over correcting; but I personally am concerned that without this correction things will continue to be rough for women in the workplace.

3. I think we agree. Truthseeking is rarely easy.

Surely a sane society can come up with a process that protects its sons as well as its daughters, without bias against nor favor toward either.
