We thank military men and women for protecting our freedoms from foreign threats, but,

for the domestic threats the only ones who have consistently risked life and limb to protect our rights of American freedom and equality are Civil Rights leaders.

And for that, I thank them for their service, starting with John Lewis who is still leading the way.
