Jeff Sessions wants a war on legal marijuana

This article from Salon says that Sessions wants to launch a federal war on marijuana in the states that have legalized it. Evidently, the little turd can't sleep at night if anyone is doing something that he personally doesn't approve of.

In all the budget and tax negotiations frantically being hammered out on Capitol Hill, one small amendment that might get lost in the shuffle could have huge ramifications. The Rohrabacher-Blumenauer amendment was originally set to expire on Friday (it's been extended for another two weeks), which would open the door for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to do what he's been hinting he wants to: Launch a federal war on states that have partly or completely legalized marijuana use.

Sessions argued that the DOJ's hands need to be untied when it comes to prosecuting marijuana dispensaries, "particularly in the midst of an historic drug epidemic and potentially long-term uptick in violent crime."

We can't get rid of Sessions and the rest of Trump's fucked up wrecking crew quickly enough.

It would help if we could get a congress to actually make the stuff formally legal, but the Libertarians can tell you how well that works out as a platform.

Funny how they are all for states rights and a small federal government until they aren't. Evil little shits.

has thought this through. Think of the profit he and the other elves could make by going back to the tree and making marijuana cookies.

But I have been hearing this doom n gloom about sessions cracking down on cannabis for almost a year now and nothing at all has happened. I think he just likes to troll the legalization movement and keep them nervous.

The Rohrabacher-Farr amendment passed in 2014, bars the Department of Justice from using federal funds to prosecute people buying or selling medical marijuana in states that have legalized it. (It's in the link in the OP.)

It was set to expire today, but has been extended for two weeks. If congress does nothing, Sessions will be free to use the DOJ to pursue his "war." And you just know he can't wait to get it on against them "librul, dope-smoking, scum."
