6. Wow, that sounds like a lot for Atlanta. And if it melts and refreezes, you have ice.

Not a good situation.

Portland, Oregon doesn't do snow very well, either, but the forecast is for more snow events this winter, and we learned a little bit from last year. Sometimes we go a few years without snow, and everyone totally forgets how to deal with the snow. We've had schools close on the basis of a dubious forecast, but I'd rather the city take a little holiday than put a lot of people's lives at risk.

Some people get trapped at home or unable to get home because their cars can't make it up a grade or are in danger of sliding out of control.

Our grandson's school is letting out an hour early, and our son's gone to pick him up. They'll take the long way home because of one of those we're-not-doing-THAT hills into their neighborhood.

His mom doesn't want him taking the school bus. Unnecessary they both know, but they haven't forgotten the buses full of kids that got stranded for hours during that last snowstorm.

Low 70s here in Florida and lovely, but nothing's lovelier than fresh snow. Neighbors sent us pictures, but not the same. Sigh.

12. I will assume you are being sarcastic. Because global warming refers to changes in weather.

It does not necessarily mean “warming” though last summer was the hottest on record. Southern states getting snow fits right in with the global warming theory actually. Global warming is not a myth. Did you perhaps lose your way on the path to another website?

Of course I am.

But, how many Right-Wing Radio shows are saying this right now and not being sarcastic?

All of them.

You probably follow the instructions to cook a frozen pizza, don't you?

When I lived in Atlanta, I knew people (even a colleague from BUFFALO!) who took a whole day to get home when it snowed. Luckily, he got stuck in Buckhead, just a block from a bar that had opened its doors to refugees.
