I’m sure the policeman was trained to look down the rifle sights like that, but that also obscured his vision. A sad outcome all around, and some damn poor police work and training, even if by the book.

I'm guessing that this guy did nothing wrong.

He was on the job for an exterminating company and carried a pellet rifle with him from his vehicle into his room.

Someone probably called the cops and falsely reported that he was aiming a gun out his window.

Cops, thinking of Las Vegas, show up all rambo'd up to take out a terrorist and this poor slub was ordered to the ground and to crawl to the policeman. While doing what the cop ordered (and probably wondering WTF was going on) he reached down to pull up his pants. The cop shot him multiple times.

Please don't make excuses for this shit. It's inexcusable and obviously murder. If these cops are so fucking afraid, they should find a new profession. Why do citizens have to take on the risk that cops voluntarily signed up for?!? They've transferred ALL their risk onto (mostly unarmed) citizens. Not fair, not just.

not a chance. Just a fact. Police need to stop hiring Rambos, gun-nuts, X-military, etc. But the victim made a move that many on a jury would view as reasonable doubt.

convict a policeman shooting a unarmed fleeing man in the back. And the man didn't even do anything.

It is obvious on the video the guy certainly didn't have a rifle on him. I thought we had the right to carry a gun without being murdered anyway. This is why even though I have a CCW permit I don't carry I fear a crazy COP more than a civilian with a gun.

We failed them as a society, the least we can do is try to remember them correctly.
