For a second there, I thought he was going to do it.

I thought he might be able to get through a speech about a civil rights museum without bragging about/calling attention to himself.

Then he got to nearly the end and said something like "Mississippi is a state where I have had great success".

The stupid bastard just couldn't do it.

There were some outstanding successes by Generals Grant and Sherman, for example.

(Of course, that was a while ago...but it was also towards the end of the time that Roy Moore thought was the last time that America was truly great.)
