I learned yesterday that the newly MAGAtized, Hillsdale South, new New College of Sarasota, FL, has plans to put a statue of Charlie Kirk on it's campus in 2026. Now all I can think about is how to superglue googly eyes on the face, and a condom in the outstretched hand of the statue.
This is madness--I mean the googly eyes/condom thing. Of course the erection (snort) of a statue to Kirk on the campus of a formerly outstanding liberal arts college, which was consumed to satisfy the greed and "let's teach those libs whose in charge" nastiness of DeSantis and the scavengers in his wake, is heinous. But in 2026 who'll have time to spend raising bail and finding a lawyer willing to take my case (I will be guilty, after all). All hands will be needed to protest, call useless FL legislators, raise awareness about the Dem candidates who must win to save American democracy.
So--maybe this is the wrong forum, but thoughts of that statue, horrifying as it will be on its own, defaced with GOOGLY EYES and a CONDOM---stop me, someone, please!
