Clowns have always been society’s tricksters - exposing truths, mocking power, and bringing disruption & play to the frontlines of protests.

MORE ABOUT ROBYN HAMBROOK
Over the past six years, Robyn Hambrook has been researching the intersection of clowning and protest driven by a deep desire to address the injustices in the world. This research has taken place in the streets, in protests, in research labs, online, with international collaborators and her Masters Research; ‘Small Circus Acts of Resistance’.
Robyn’s recent collaborations and teaching projects include the Nomadic Rebel Clown Academy (5-day Activist Clown Training), The Laboratory of the Un-beautiful (Feminist Grotesque Bouffon Training for Womxn Theatre Makers) and the Clown Congress (annual gathering of clowns, activists and academics collectively exploring what it means to be a clown in this current era). Robyn has most recently founded the Bristol Clown School, creating a home for clowning in the South West of England.

SCAMPS is a Zoom to support Activists to share and support each other’s work. Clowns, creatives, strategists, open to all who support strategic nonviolent resistance to topple authoritarianism and support democratic principles.
Hosted by Indivisible Activist volunteer Sheridan Hill. We will meet EVERY OTHER TUESDAY at noon Eastern US Time
NOTE: This group includes the original “Activist Clown Meet” -because most folks who attend are broadly interested in creative, nonviolent rebellion–including costuming and activist clown play.
You do not need to know anything about activism to come. We welcome all tricksters in support of playful authoritarian rebellion.

Honestly, I think that there's a solid and unyielding segment of the population that has a predisposition to contrarianism about everything. I'm just feeling weary today. I'm tired of being insulted when I'm try to be nice and help people. I usually don't call attention to such nonsense because I don't believe in feeding the beast. But I let my feelings get hurt twice today so I let my guard down.
One would think that the current situation is an "all hands on deck" type of moment but I guess people are just showing their fear and disbelief in a variety of ways.
It's like everyone is going through the stages of grief. Hopefully, eventually the masses will come around.
