Police kill man believed behind 2 shootings in Copenhagen

Source: AP and Yahoo

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Danish police shot and killed a man early Sunday who likely carried out shooting attacks at a free speech event and a synagogue in Copenhagen that left two people dead.

Investigator Joergen Skov told reporters that "nothing at this point suggests there were other perpetrators" in the shootings that also left five police officers wounded.

The dramatic events that unfolded in Copenhagen stirred fears that another terror spree was underway in a European capital a month after 17 people were killed in Paris attacks.

Skov said the gunman was killed in a firefight with police in the Noerrebro district of Copenhagen. No police were wounded in that shooting.

Their version of Hell's Angels which is equivalent to the mob. They don't know who hired them yet. But this information could change.

Unless there's a Muslim version of Hells Angels in Denmark. Or a Danish version of InfoWars.

That is what the major Danish online newspaper had reported. Now that there is more information, the murder for hire theory is false.

I see BIbi is shamelessly trying to exploit the situation to tell Europeans to leave their home countries..there is another outrage.

Good they got him - sad they was not able to get him alive, so he could stand trial for what he did - and to get to the facts at hand - about who was behind this killings as I doubt he did it on his own..

'Muslem (sic) bashing' is in the eye of the beholder. When someone attacks 2 separate venues with an assault rifle, killing 2, it's terrorism, whether you like it or not.

bashing to suggest it was. But if Islam was central to his motivation, then it is central to the story.

And nobody gets a pass based on their motive if their intent remains to murder.

Denmark would appear to have made their choice between free speech and extremists - and they continue to defend free speech. Wouldn't they be disappointed to find out that they continue to defend free speech with their lives while some on DU retreat and are OK throwing it under the bus because it might be seen as bashing.

Follow the facts where they lead. When new information emerges, evaluate it and incorporate it into your conclusions.

A) Cartoonists who depict "Mohammed" as did Swedish artist Lars Vilks and the Charlie Hebdo staff

B) Places frequented by Jewish people - this time a synagogue, on 1/9/2015 a Kosher grocery store filled with Friday night Shabbat shoppers, on 5/24/2014 it was a 4 victim shooting at the Jewish Museum in Belgium, 3/19/2012 it was a 4 victim shooting, including 3 children, at a Jewish school in the south of France.

C) Police (i.e. those who maintain order in society by defending the other targets listed above)

From an earlier post here http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=1015057

Attempts by some to shut down the discussion of others by instantly shouting "BIGOTRY", in order to prevent anyone from identifying a commonality between these two crimes* is called "obscuration" i.e. concealment. Those doing the shouting down insist that we as human beings are incapable of distinguishing between ordinary people who practice the Mulism faith and the proponents of Radical Islam. Which is pretty darn insulting.

Because of this "obscuration", any meaningful analysis of this social and political problem by thoughtful people that might happen, is preemptively "shut down" and drowned out beneath a tidal wave of pathos, suffering, and passion.
