Secretary of State Jason Kander announces he'll seek Senate seat held by Roy Blunt

Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander made the leap Thursday into next year's U.S. Senate race, announcing he will seek the Democratic nomination to challenge Republican Roy Blunt.

Saying "it's time for a new generation of leaders," Kander issued a statement and video stressing his military background and his work with both political parties as Secretary of State the last two years and as a state legislator from Kansas City before that.

"For years, even with our economy suffering at home and our national security threatened abroad, too many politicians in both political parties have been more concerned with scoring political points than doing what's right for our country," Kander said.

Kander, 33, is an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan.

since he is democrat I voted for him as secretary of state in 2012.

So far he seems to be running on the both partys have failed which tells us nothing on his views on any issues

The GOP as being so predicable is calling him ultra liberal and supports obama's failed agenda.

Well they would call Hillary an ultra liberal. And obama's agenda can't be called failed anymore.

Any dem is improvement over Blunt.
