POLICE MAKING ARREST IN LAS VEGAS ROAD-RAGE CASE

Source: AP

BY KEN RITTER

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Police are attempting to make an arrest in the shooting death of a Las Vegas mother who was killed in what is believed to be a road-rage altercation.

Las Vegas police have been looking for a suspect for nearly a week in the killing of 44-year-old Tammy Meyers. Police said in a statement that they are "taking the suspect into custody."

The location is about a block away from the Meyers' family home. Meyers' husband showed up at the scene and yelled: "That's the animal, a block away."

Police have said Meyers was shot in the head in her driveway Thursday after confrontations that began when she was giving her teen daughter a driving lesson and the girl honked at a driver she felt was speeding.

FULL story at link.

What police first described as a road rage-inspired shooting of an innocent mother of four has morphed into a more complex scenario, prompting a backlash Wednesday against the Las Vegas family and the way the case is being handled. be armed as well, and in the resultant gunfight she is killed. Sure sounds like a self-defense case.

They should build a new casino, The Gunfight, to accommodate folks like this. People would pay money to see this nonsense.

This foolish woman would be alive today if she'd gone into her house and either forgotten it or made a police complaint. She didn't. She chose the gun option. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

how true that statement is. I strongly recommend everyone read "The Eleven Nations of North America" by Colin Woodard.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2013/11/08/which-of-the-11-american-nations-do-you-live-in/

He documents how some of America's earliest settlers came from very violent societies, and proposes that the norms of those societies run through American culture today.

If you follow the arguments over guns, it seems that one group expects the police to protect them, and the other group expects to have to protect themselves. Not only that, but the group that expects to engage in self-defense is encultured to respond to any perceived danger with overwhelming response.
