Vigo County (Indiana) Commissioners pass 'Human Rights Resolution'
Source: WTHI-TV
The Vigo County Commissioners have offered their response to Indianas passage of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
On Tuesday the commissioners passed a Human Rights Resolution. This resolution is to assure that all Vigo County residents will have equal access to public services, and have their civil rights protected.
Its just a given fact that we as individuals should never show prejudice in any way, explained Judy Anderson, Vigo County Commissioner. So, this just confirms that this is our belief.
The resolution concludes that it should not be construed to support any particular lifestyle. Rather, its intent is that everyone should be treated equally and fairly under law.

The county is one of the best bellwether regions for voting in U.S. presidential elections; it has voted for the winning candidate in every election since 1956[4] and in all but two elections since 1892.[5] It continued the trend in 2012, voting for President Barack Obama by only a half point margin.

(4,033 posts)for 10 months (seemed like 2 years) back in 1980. At that tme I had 3 strikes against me 1. I was a woman 2. I was from the east coast and 3. I was Catholic.
This is not something I would expect to see coming from there, but times are a changing. Perhaps the people in charge in Vigo County are those that were smoking the homegrown back in the day.
