Montana Gov. Lampoons Koch Group Over 'Millions Of Montanans' Goof

Source: Talking Points Memo

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock (D) bashed the Koch brothers-funded conservative outside group Americans for Prosperity for botching the total population of Montana in a response to Montana Democrats advancing legislation that would expand Medicaid in the state.

The botched statement, by Montana Americans for Prosperity state director Zach Lahn said "the voices of millions of Montanans" didn't want to expand Medicaid through Obamacare. It came after the Montana House of Representatives passed a Medicaid expansion bill.

Montana's population does not extend into the millions.

"Montana’s population passed one million people for the first time ever in 2012. So imagine my surprise when the latest billionaire-funded attack accused me of opposing the “voices of millions of Montanans," Bullock (pictured) wrote in a fundraising email on Monday. "Let me tell you what’s most startling about this -- Not knowing how many "millions" of people live in Montana won’t stop the Koch brothers and Americans for Prosperity from spending millions of dollars to buy our elections."

Than not only the state of Montana's annual budget, but the annual budget of a whole cluster of western states.

And they're fighting to keep working families from getting health care. It's despicable.

But I don't know what it's going to take to persuade conservative voters to oppose them.

As long as the most money wins elections, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

I think it's supreme selfishness. They truly do not care if we live or die. As a matter of fact, if our dying would make them even one penny richer I believe they would encourage, and celebrate our deaths. But that isn't hate, it's just sociopathic indifference.

Of course, in the end, it doesn't really matter why they want to destroy everything and everybody, we'd still be dead.

I agree that their followers are full of hate. I can't imagine what else would possess them to act against their own interests. That, and stupidity, because I don't think they even realize they're following the Kochs.

That they're the ones being screwed.

The Cocks and the ones that already have everything they need to stay in power; they just want the moronic RW voters to serve as the foot soldiers on the outside of the castle.

"You peons (whoops, faithful lackeys) please protect us against those 99% that are asking for ridiculous items such as health care for all, decent wages, clean water and air, education."

Of course those stupid foot soldiers will be left outside the castle walls when there is nothing left to feed their minds or their stomachs. They'll have to deal with the real stuff real quick. The castle-dwellers will eventually be made to serve dinner, also.

there have been instances of that in some communities in Idaho and New Hampshire, this was done to dominate the state legislature.

the state legislature is having a near-end-of-session heated argument over the Medicaid expansion Bill.

And current population is about 1,024 million humans residing in the state.

They cannot help themselves. It is part of the conservative view to be that sure, and that wrong.

But even that would be a real stretch.
