Carly Fiorina to Launch Presidential Campaign on May 4
Source: Wall Street Journal
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO will declare GOP campaign online
Carly Fiorina plans to launch her presidential campaign on May 4, in an online announcement that dispenses with the pageantry that has become de rigueur in 2016 White House runs.
Instead, Mrs. Fiorina, the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard Co., will formally declare her Republican campaign online and hold a conference call for the national press, according to a person with knowledge of the campaigns plans.
The lack of fanfare stands in contrast to GOP candidates who already have declared. Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Marco Rubio of Florida held choreographed events to officially launch their 2016 efforts. Mrs. Fiorina wont hold a public event the day she begins her campaign. It will also put Mrs. Fiorina at odds with two other GOP candidates announcing their 2016 plans that week.

(36 posts)Palin was a disaster, but the Right would really like a woman on the ticket. The fact that she ran HP into the ground does not concern them. The fact that she doesn't have the IQ of a potato like Palin and is probably quite capable of staying "on message" is a great advantage. The fact she probably represents the real power of the republican elite better than any other candidate means that she fills the void left by Romney. The Right doesn't want a woman president, even one of their own. They want a token to appease a "demographic" (using LaPierre's term). I don't think they are worried about balancing the ticket with a religious right figure as they were with McCain, but the 1% would really like one of their own and not just a lackey like Rubio, Walker or Christie. Only Bush could be considered one of their own, but I still think he is unlikely to win the nomination.

(70,512 posts)...... if we had any kind of liberal press another Bush or Ms. Carly wouldn't even get a
sniff of being POTUS.
Carly doen't get that no snow in the mountains during the fall, winter, and early spring in California means
no water in the reserviors no matter how many dams you build. And I can not believe she went to MIT and
Standford and still be so clueless.
Former Hewlett-Packard Chief Executive Carly Fiorina, Time.com op-ed, April 7, 2015
It is a man-made disaster.
Thats the tragedy of California, because of liberal environmentalists insistence despite the fact that California has suffered from droughts for millennia, liberal environmentalists have prevented the building of a single new reservoir or a single new water conveyance system over decades during a period in which Californias population has doubled.

Look at St. Ronnie, running the country when he had Alzheimer's. But the masters didn't skip a beat and just kept running the country their way of, by and for the oligarchy.
