Pro-O’Malley group attacking Sanders on gun control By Jonathan Easley

Source: The Hill

A super-PAC supporting former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) for president will launch a five-digit digital ad buy in Iowa on Thursday attacking Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) over his positions on gun control.

“Bernie Sanders voted against the Brady Bill, and Bernie Sanders voted to give gun manufacturers protections from victim lawsuits,” the ad says. “The NRA even paid for ads attacking a Sanders opponent. Bernie Sanders is no progressive when it comes to guns.”

A separate 15-second ad from the super-PAC, called Generation Forward, touts O’Malley’s support for gun control reforms and will also run in the Hawkeye State.

“Martin O’Malley banned the sale of assault rifles. Martin O’Malley enacted laws requiring licensing of handgun buyers,” the second says. “Martin O’Malley outlawed the sale of high capacity magazines. Martin O’Malley: A proven leader on gun safety.”

Governor O'Malley is a REAL candidate, with REAL substance.

I know its difficult for many to see beyond what the msm wants to tout, but it IS possible to LEARN SOMETHING, for those who are interested:

Lots of gun owners here. Lots of responsible gun owners here who like to hunt and fish. Lots of gun owners who are against gun control.
Heck, our former great Senator, Tom Harkin was a duck hunter. He probably still is. Him and Bernie are friends. I think the Super Pac doing this is making a mistake.

affect most gun owners in the slightest way.

Here's his record on the issue:

Governor O’Malley made broad, common-sense reforms to reduce gun violence, including implementing a handgun qualification license requiring fingerprint background checks, an assault weapons ban, and a magazine capacity limit.

Maryland is not a swing state and will vote for the nominee regardless.

Your theory needs some work, let me help: Perhaps O'Malley is running because he thinks he can win? He's overcome incredible odds before to win (Mayor of Baltimore) with 90% of the vote and then won reelection with 87% of the vote.

the Rev. Wright issue, I smell a rat here and it could be there is an instigator outside of the O'Malley Campaign.
Why doesn't the O'Malley campaign come up with BS on Hillary? So what do they hope to accomplish by attacking Bernie Sanders.
Bernie is a threat but he is not the front runner yet.

If I would have an ounce of support for O'Malley it just got eliminated by this BS.

it seems its always the Republican vs Democrats not a Democrat vs another Democrat on gun control issues.
I did not say gun control was a BS issue I just said it was BS that O'Malley was attacking Bernie Sanders because I believe that the O'Malley campaign was encouraged to do this by an outside source.

I consider myself a Sanders supporter; but I think the Brady Bill was a good bill, and I wish Bernie had supported it.

I don't think either the super-PAC or O'Malley did anything wrong here.

It certainly doesn't seem like an "attack ad" to me.
