Jeb Bush Will Release 33 Years Of Personal Tax Returns
Source: ASSOCIATED PRESS
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush plans Tuesday to release 33 years of his personal income tax returns, including before and after his two terms as Florida governor.
Campaign spokeswoman Allie Brandenburger says Bush's decision "is consistent with the high level of disclosure he has practiced during his life in public office."
Bush aides contend the information is more than any previous presidential candidate. The voluntary disclosure also is aimed at drawing a contrast with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. She has filed the filed the financial disclosure form required by the Federal Election Commission for presidential candidates but has not made public her tax returns, a more precise record of income.
Bush's decision to release the information was first published by The Wall Street Journal.

(154 posts)Good for Jebs I guess
On the other hand all Dem candidates should release 30 years taxes it would makes us look bad if any our candidates refuse/decline to do so.

(26,299 posts)I mean most of the candidates who are running for offices like this are clearly wealthy which means of course they have investments in x corporations but does it tell who would be a better president?
CTBlueboy
(154 posts)Yes they are
We criticize Republicans for being secretive and ask for transparency when talking about taxes returns (Mitt Romney) why shouldn't the same rules apply for our Candidates
Sanders
Clinton
O'malley
All need to release their tax returns

(154 posts)why should any candidate be reluctant to hide his/her tax returns from the people that will be voting for him/her.
Example :If a candidate said they were for pro-environment and yet they own tons of stocks in an oil company how can we trust him/her on that issue.

(26,299 posts)Voting no or having a history of not supporting things like investing in alternative energy sources to replace oil in the long term is a sign of not being pro-environment.
