Airway Heights, WA, Mayor under fire for Facebook post

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. The mayor of Airway Heights, Patrick Rushing, doesn't hold back his political views when it comes to his Facebook page. KHQ got a message from one of his followers who was extremely offended by a comment Mayor Rushing posted about President Obama and the First Lady.
The comment in full that was found on Patrick Rushing's Facebook page read:
"Gorilla face Michelle, can't disagree with that. The woman is not attractive except to monkey man Barack. Check out them ears. LOL."
I showed Rushing the statement, and he confirmed he had posted it, so I asked him why he would write something like that.
"It's just playful back and forth banter that my friends and I do," said Rushing.

Here is this jerk's Facebook page. He made the comment yesterday and if you scroll down, you can see that he is completely unapologetic and is standing his ground. He seems to have a lot of support from his "friends."

with it, so your solution is that they should just leave? Or just eat shit every day from these assholes? Think any will ever get a decent job? Think maybe dozens or perhaps hundreds over time might be jailed wrongly, and thus thrust into nearly a guaranteed poverty?
Not beating up on you, but can you understand how "If they're okay with it, well, it would suck to live there, I guess." sounds dismissive and easily trips from the tongue of the privileged? If not, it wouldn't surprise me. It's hardest to see privilege when you are a beneficiary of it.
It is beyond just "sucking" to live here for some people of color. It is a criminal violation of their human rights to live in this country, and the bastard that is the mayor should be fired just as gone as the flag of Slavery they just took down in South Carolina.
Both represent state sponsored racism and terrorism.
There will likely never be enough black votes to overcome the racist bigots in Eastern WA and Northern Idaho. That's why many white folk moved here, and they will do what they can to keep it that way - lots of them in law enforcement.
We don't need no stinkin' flag to be one of the most racist areas in the U.S.
Yes, it does suck. On the other hand, it appears that things are becoming a lot less comfortable for all the non-racist racists who have let this go on for so long. It's going to such for them too - and their kids, who they though were protected. 
And probably their kid's kids.
Is too bad. Had we dispensed with the hate long ago we would all be much further down the path, instead of standing on the edge of a cliff with a whole bunch of pressure about to push.
Have you reviewed every case of every black person taken to jail in that city.
Want to bet me $25,000 there is no racism in those cases? That's breaking federal law, and perhaps, as soon as they get through prosecuting bank$ters they will open an investigation into these sorry pieces of crap and perhaps they could wind up in in a federal prison.
Wonder if mayor ass clown would choke when they started combing through their records and adding up the small fortune they would be seeking in civil court. The new mayor could negotiate it.
The problem is not that black people need to vote.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHITE PEOPLE NEED TO QUIT HATING AND BEING RACIST, AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO LOOK LOOK LIKE THEM NEED TO QUIT MAKING EXCUSES FOR THEM.

Btw - you seem to think you need voters. If you will remember the Voting Rights Act of 1965, that was done with direct action. They couldn't vote but got the Pres to sign legislation that affected the country.
Some action could be designed that would either fix the stinky little town or break it. Life could get a little more uncomfortable and expensive for the white folks, let them see how the other less than one half live - since the pigs don't want to change their behavior. There is a military base there, with threats from Congress to close it.
Maybe a little petition action to shut down the base and move all those jobs somewhere the black troops don't have to feel uncomfortable..

I think Michelle Obama is one gorgeous gal, and Obama has always been a cutie pie (his ears are very endearing)
