Aurora theater shooting case is now in the hands of 12 jurors

CENTENNIAL The prosecutor rose to his feet, and it began, four final hours of argument over justice for one of the worst mass shootings in American history.
Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler stood before jurors Tuesday afternoon and drew in a deep breath.
"Three years ago next Monday morning," he started quietly.
"Four hundred people from this community filed into this theater."

(51,571 posts)The gun manufacturers didn't sell AR15s and 100-round magazines because they were insane. They did it for the money.
Sadly, the gun manufacturers will get off Scott free--they can't even get sued civilly for their craven marketing of these items to civilians--thanks to the 2005 PLCAA law which they pushed through giving themselves immunity from such suits. And they compounded the injury, making sure we had no effective universal background check law by threatening gutless representatives with political extermination if they voted for it.
