Deputies: Bomb squad at scenes of 2 Las Cruces churches

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – Officials say there have been reports of explosions at two Las Cruces churches.
Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office say they have bomb squads at the scenes of the two churches.
At the time of Sunday mass, two explosions were reported going off at Calvary church and at Holy Cross church according to Las Cruces Sun News. Sun News reports that police immediately started evacuating people.

Two explosive devices detonated within minutes of each other Sunday morning at churches in Las Cruces.

Authorities said the first device went off in a mailbox at the Calvary Baptist Church, and the second device exploded in a trash bin at the Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Investigators said the device at Calvary Baptist Church detonated at 8:30 a.m., and the device at Holy Cross Catholic Church exploded in a trash bin at 8:45 a.m., shattering a stained-glass window.

in assisting the immigrant community. Perhaps the Baptist church is as well, and somebody is taking exception to their actions.

(That's my unscientific wild-assed guess, based on absolutely nothing more than my suspicions.)

10. The crime of attacks/ threats on churches should have mandatory 20 plus years in jail.
