Missouri police officer who killed black teen speaks out: magazine

Source: Yahoo! News / Reuters

(Reuters) - The white police officer who last year shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, says he has been unable to find another policing job and still feels threatened by critics who blame him for killing the unarmed black teenager, according to a story published in the New Yorker magazine.

Darren Wilson, 29, told the magazine that to try to keep his family safe after a series of death threats, he did not put his name on the deed when he bought a new house and had his wife check into a hospital anonymously when she gave birth to their daughter in March.

Only a few friends know where he lives, Wilson told the magazine, which has posted the article online.

Wilson was thrust into the limelight a few days after the Aug. 9 killing of Brown when officials released his name to the media, along with a description of the events that led Wilson to shoot the 18-year-old multiple times.

wouldn't get any shit at all in public. I've read about several white supremacist enclaves in North Dakota, Idaho and Montana. Not saying that he's a nazi. Just pointing out that there are no shortage places for him to move to and feel comfortable.

He doesn't want his personal information to get out, for good reason, but I seriously doubt that he's afraid to show his face in public wherever he is now.

He has not spent much time reflecting on Brown as a person, he told the New Yorker, "because it doesn't matter at this point."

... of empathy, or of admitting they are wrong about anything. That's why police departments actively recruit them. They will twist words and events five ways to Sunday to make the narrative fit their perceived needs. Wilson deserves no sympathy, and this hell is of his own making.

Your malice, Wilson, will be your undoing.

He has no sense of irony, no self-awareness. Here are some quotes from a Salon review of the New Yorker article:

http://www.salon.com/2015/08/03/unemployed_darren_wilson_living_off_donations_only_shopping_with_like_minded_individuals_%E2%80%94_where_its_not_a_mixing_pot/

Unemployed Darren Wilson living off donations, only shopping “with like-minded individuals — where it’s not a mixing pot”

<SNIP>

For Wilson, the issue is poverty — and a lack of discipline among poor people, the majority of whom just happen to be black. "There’s a lack of jobs everywhere,” he said, “but there’s also lack of initiative to get a job. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”

<SNIP>

Wilson said that he’s still looking for jobs in law enforcement, but at the moment, no department will hire him. Instead, he lives off the donations that continue to pour in, months after the grand jury refused to indict him.

When asked about his daily routine, Wilson told Halpern that he and his wife still go out to eat, but they “try to go somewhere — how do I say this correctly? — with like-minded individuals. You know. Where it’s not a mixing pot <emphasis added>.”

He is exactly the sort of person who would tell a poor person to get any job at all, regardless of whether it paid a living wage, or whether working conditions are awful, but if he can't get the exact job he wants, he just plays freeloader and lives off other people's money (suckers).

After all, he has to hide from any of those un-pure mixed bloods. They are out to get him.

I'm willing to bet there are THOUSANDS of cops just like you out there. Ready to shoot and ask questions later.

Here in Texas, a dildo cop like Wilson can commit a crime like that in one jurisdiction, resign, retype a new resume and get another job in another hick town.

The members of the THIN BLUE LINE defend their own idiots. My personal experience taught me that cops are not going to stop another one from committing a crime such as abuse. I was beat up by a Texas DPS trooper while a county dummy cop stood by and watched and never said a word.

The good cops are going to have to pay with the bad cops for not standing up for people's rights. That's the part I don't like. The good having to pay for the bad. So, they may have to start making up their minds........ are they going to do the right thing or STFU and pay the devil to play?

Like the shooting in Tennessee the other night. Many in the minority community look at the world from a different perspective.

Cops like Wilson are going to pay a heavy price now. His picture is all over the Internet. He'll have to wander off the face of the Earth to find a job and keep himself hidden. He's a mark that may get tagged sooner or later. Karma.

So is the Cleveland Police Department. As I understand it, they're pretty lax when it comes to background checks.

Hope you spend the rest of your life feeling threatened, asshole. At least you get to draw breath.
