Trump dumped from conservative event in Atlanta over 'inappropriate' comments

Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was dumped from a prime speaking role to an important gathering of conservative activists on Friday for his criticism of Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly after a combustible debate performance.

Trump was scheduled to deliver the keynote address on Saturday night at a conference in Atlanta organized by Red State, an influential conservative group.

Red State chief Erick Erickson said he had disinvited Trump from the event because of what he described as "demeaning" remarks about Kelly who was one of three moderators during the first major Republican debate on Thursday night in Cleveland.

"While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far," Erickson said, adding he had invited Kelly, one of Fox's highest profile anchors, to attend his conference in Trump's place.

I am thinking that "the Donald" might be mentally ill or maybe just an
asshole but the bottom line is he said that Kelly was "on her rag" so she
was nasty too him.

Maybe after he gets dumped by the GOP he can start his 3rd party run for
POTUS.

about the blood in her eyes and wherever. The msm cut the last part of his comments when he said Chris Wallace also had blood in his eyes. That's an old, old saying, "Blood in the eye". It means that someone is spitting mad at you and out for blood. But of course the repugs are spinning it, as though they are the party of feminism.

Megyn Kelly methodically tore fellow Fox News pundits Erick Erickson and Lou Dobbs to shreds on Friday for their instantly infamous comments about women in the workplace.

Both men had a near meltdown about a study which showed that more women than ever were the sole or primary breadwinners in their households. They agreed that it signalled a terrible new trend for civilization itself. Erickson even brought the animal kingdom up, saying, "When you look at biology, look at the natural world, the roles of a male and a female in society, and other animals, the male typically is the dominant role." . . .

Kelly was loaded for bear when Dobbs and Erickson joined her on her Friday show, and she let both men have it. "What makes you dominant and me submissive and who died and made you scientist-in-chief?" was her first question to Erickson. Try as he might, he failed to convince her.

When he said that many in the Pew study agreed with his discomfort about the role of women, she shot back, "Just because you have people who agree with you doesn't mean it's not offensive."

Fox and the rest of the right-wing media were fawning on Trump just a week before the debates and suddenly, like computers, changed their programs to ABORT. The masters of the Republican Matrix have spoken. But, it's a question of whether it'll take with the conspiracy minded 'reality' fighters on the extreme right-wing, whose befuddled minds will churn with a multitude of questionable theories about why the kingmakers in the establishment want their beloved bigot ousted.

“Most of the people on this stage I’ve given to, just so you understand, a lot of money. . . I give to everybody. When they call, I give. And do you know what? When I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them, they are there for me. And that’s a broken system.”

Last night’s FOX News GOP Presidential Debate Extravaganza featured the most riveting two minute political exchange ever heard on national television. During a brief colloquy between Republican frontrunner Donald Trump and Fox moderator Brett Baier, the pugnacious casino magnate revealed the appalling truth about the American political system, that the big money guys like Trump own the whole crooked contraption lock, stock, and barrel, and that, the nation’s fake political leaders do whatever they’re told to do. Without question, it was most illuminating commentary to ever cross the airwaves.

he made that comment. But, it didn't score points for him with the establishment either. They know he's too egotistic to be someone they can control. He thinks he's god and won't kowtow to anyone. And it was very illuminating on how both parties are bought and sold and the cynicism Trump displays in using the system to his advantage and then having the nerve to complain about how it's wrong for him to do it. He really knows how to manipulate people with this self-denigration and pretense at honesty. I'm sure it's how he got many of his investors to sign on the dotted line to buy into his bankrupt schemes. This faux outrage at the corruption of the system that he readily admits he abuses just flies over the heads of too many low-information voters. They think of him as being 'honest' and 'speaking his mind,' when he's just manipulating them.

...has said males should be "dominant" over females, claimed women should be "at home" while men bring "home the bacon," labeled Michelle Obama a "marxist harpy wife" and Justice David Souter a "goat fucking child molester," argued LGBT people are "on the road to hell," and wondered when Americans would raid legislators' houses and beat them to "a bloody pulp."

as much as they are terrified of Trump starting a third-party run, there just as terrified of him actually becoming nominee of their party. After the debate, it was very interesting to hear all the GOP representatives say how crappy job trump did, and yet some of the "regular" people actually were happy with his performance.

establishment on both sides is getting very very nervous. it seems to be that this is becoming a lot less of a democratic versus republican fight then it is becoming a establishment versus the people fight. On the left you see it with Bernie, on the right you see it with Trump. The establishment oligarchs see the rising revolution and they are getting shitting their pants scared.

We have a winner!

There can be all kinds of speculation about why Trump is running, ranging from "free" publicity and ego to conspiracy theories, but I believe it is pretty certain that he is becoming seriously worried about his success. He tried to dismantle his "campaign" with the McCain remarks, which backfired. So he doubled-down by grossly insulting the Fox News Princess. Trump can bully all he wants on the offensive, but he is easy to read when he goes on the defensive. When Kelly didn't get rattled but instead skewered him with questions such as, "When did you become a Republican?" it was easy to see through his veneer of hubris. His tone weakened, his face changed.

Trump should never play poker.
