Cowboys owner to host Christie fundraiser

He hosted Gov. Christie in his luxury box last season. Now Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is helping raise money for the governor’s presidential campaign.

Jones will host a fundraiser for Christie Sept. 23 at his home in Texas, a spokeswoman for Christie’s campaign confirmed Friday. The event will be co-hosted by Christie’s Dallas-based national finance chairman, Ray Washburne.

The fundraiser was first reported by the Dallas Morning News, which said tickets will start at $1,000. The limit for individual contributions is $2,700, but supporters are being asked to round up 10 people to raise $27,000, according to the paper.

Christie’s allegiance to the Cowboys, which the governor describes as deep-seated, drew backlash from some fans last season – including in Philadelphia, after Christie was shown on national television high-fiving Jones during Dallas’s December win over the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

3. Jones and his Cowboys bus rolled up to my fave fish joint last weekend in Ventura. The Cowboys bus

sat and blocked the handicapped spots in the parking lot for a half hour until Jones and his entourage exited the bus and went into the restaurant.
We were there having a nice shore dinner on the patio so i took pics of the bus blocking the spots and posted them on FB.
