City to state Supreme Court: Take union case

Source: Greenbay Press Gazette

Adam Rodewald

The city of Green Bay is asking the state’s highest court to settle a 4-year-old lawsuit over police and firefighters’ health insurance plans.

The city on Friday is expected to file papers requesting the Wisconsin Supreme Court review the case, which had been returned by the state Court of Appeals last month to Brown County Circuit Court for reconsideration.

The Green Bay Professional Police Association and Green Bay Professional Firefighters Association initially filed the lawsuit in September 2011 to prevent the city from imposing higher health insurance deductibles on employees.

The union representing Brown County Sheriff deputies joined the lawsuit in 2012.

You might as well throw in the towel now, with this corporate supreme court there is no such thing as justice for the people that they are suppose to represent. The constitution means absolutely nothing except something to put on a wall.
