Chris Christie: As president I would hire FedEx CEO to teach us how to track immigrants like packages

Appearing at a townhall in Laconia, New Hampshire, GOP presidential contender Chris Christie attempted to set his campaign apart from the pack with a unique suggestion for dealing with immigrants: get Federal Express to teach the government how to track them like they do with packages.

-snip-

When talk to turned to a favorite Republican hot button issue — undocumented immigrants — Christie tossed out the idea of enlisting FEDEX CEO Fred Smith to teach ICE how to track them. “Christie says, if elected, he’ll tap FedEx’s Fred Smith for a 3-month gig to teach how to track immigrants w same efficiency as packages, ” tweeted Elliott during Christie’s talk.

Claude Brodessser — a politics writer for the Star-Ledger — confirmed Christie’s comments while noting that Smith’s daughter works for the Christie campaign. Brodesser tweeted: “@GovChristie says he’d hire FedEx founder Fred Smith to track visa holders as immigration fix. Christie spox is Smith’s daughter, Samantha.”

Elliott’s tweet drew the attention of Lis Smith, a spokesperson for Democrat Martin O’Malley’s campaign, who tweeted: “Wow. Taking dehumanizing language to new lows.”

Only after Jews were identified -- a massive and complex task that Hitler wanted done immediately -- could they be targeted for efficient asset confiscation, ghettoization, deportation, enslaved labor, and, ultimately, annihilation. It was a cross-tabulation and organizational challenge so monumental, it called for a computer. Of course, in the 1930s no computer existed.

But IBM's Hollerith punch card technology did exist. Aided by the company's custom-designed and constantly updated Hollerith systems, Hitler was able to automate his persecution of the Jews. Historians have always been amazed at the speed and accuracy with which the Nazis were able to identify and locate European Jewry. Until now, the pieces of this puzzle have never been fully assembled. The fact is, IBM technology was used to organize nearly everything in Germany and then Nazi Europe, from the identification of the Jews in censuses, registrations, and ancestral tracing programs to the running of railroads and organizing of concentration camp slave labor.

Yeah, Chris. FedEx can do things government cannot do. Here are some things FedEx has done for me that the Postal Service could not: Charged me twice as much for an overnight letter and failed to deliver it overnight. Lost my package. discovered they couldn't deliver my package to a remote area, and turned it over to USPS for final delivery. And, the best one, considering Christie's remark, tracked my package as still in transit two days after it arrived.

But that's not the issue. Chris Christie suggests we ask FedEx how to track things (immigrants) because they're so good at tracking packages. But they're not that good at tracking packages, so Christie's suggestion is not supported by the evidence, or at least by my personal experience.

Hello Folks
Chris Christie here:

Everybody knows there is no way to realistically build a Trump wall the way Trump says he can.
So what I did is subtract a piece of Trump's traction ,brought it over to Jersey ,created a reasonably believable
bill of goods. And I am sure my friend the Donald will in the long run will see the potential benefits to be had by this
what in my opinion is one of the most brilliant bill of goods to be put over on the voting public I have ever seen.

Folks it is this type of brilliant scam casting that got me elected twice . If it makes sense to you ,it makes sense to me too.
See, I'm just like you. What is good by the people is good for the people.

Ya, FeD X ,who would have guessed ?
I got some pretty good con artists in my collective.
The problem is as I look over the list of people I owe a job should I be elected, many of them will end up getting the shaft because I can't hire five or more of them to fill the same position. But it's just like they say,you can't take all your friends with you when you move on up.

The political screws just keep turning keeping the shaft aligned !

The one's I feel the most sorry for are those with the big plans of a second career move to DC. 15 years in the planning stages.
Slipping it to them wouldn't come easy though necessary it is. The ends of one career, the beginnings of another . Great plans they have for the new beginnings, move the family to DC , screw everything and everybody left behind- for the cause ,it's all for the cause.

My worker bee buddies from the good old bushy days, bush in 2000. Get another bush in and it's Rin Tin Tin.
I think rin tin tin is the name of a famous dog that had a television weekly show named after it back there in the olden days.
Actually the dog was the star ! But of course they probably had five dog look alikes to get it over on the audience. I'd never get away with that even as president.

Never would they suspect the shaft awaits them. Hay that's the dog ain't it .

objects or good objects, just objects.

He really doesn't see that as racist, and it may not be. One has to recognize others as human first for them to have a race. I'm not sure he sees the humanity in some groups. He appears to regard them as no more than a box with a label.

That he seems to do this seems scarier than a racist. The nazis seemed to actually hate, another thing that more or less requires one to acknowledge another life form.

In his view he skips on over that, I think. He simply sees no life, no humanity, and wants to shelve them. He wouldn't see mass death as wiping people out, more like just clearing off a table.

Maybe he didn't develop fully.
