Scott Walker's supporters urge a return to core beliefs

WASHINGTON — With Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential poll numbers in free fall, longtime observers and supporters in his home state say they know why: The Scott Walker they know isn’t the same one they see on the presidential trail.

They say Walker has changed positions to score political points. He supported a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, then came out against it. He opposed government mandates to include ethanol in fuel, then supported a mandate while courting votes in Iowa, where nearly half the corn produced goes into ethanol production.

When the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in June, Walker called for a constitutional amendment to allow states to ban it. A month later, he said it wouldn’t be a top priority if he is elected president. Last month, he said he supported Donald Trump’s call to end birthright citizenship, then said he supports birthright citizenship as provided by the 14th Amendment.

“I fear what happened when he decided to run for president is he decided to act like a politician instead of a leader,” said Rick Esenberg, founder of the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, a conservative think tank and legal organization based in Milwaukee.

He's a total panderer to the Koch brothers and has actively hurt employment in the state of Wi. He NEVER had a soul to lose, always has been an empty suit and nothing else. He should be in jail for his campaign irregularities, but has a bought and sold appeals court that let him off the hook while going after the people he supervised. He's truly one of the worst on the clown car, and that's saying something!

Hope he gets laughed out of the statehouse this time around. Sadly, there seem to be enough angry old white folk in WI - who don't remember their parents' union jobs and their own public & trade school educations which made their middle class retirements possible - that are hopped up on FoxNews hate & will gladly vote for him.

Was believing Walker ever truly embraced particular principles, or any principles at all, for that matter. The guy impresses me as an opportunistic punk who found a path to popularity by beating up the pubic employee unions. A one trick pony, I think.

Those are his core values and from what I can tell he never left those core values. Did he announce that he was changing to honor, integrity and intelligent analysis today? If he did then I can see why the Koch brothers have dropped him

should first of all go back to law school------------and take law 101 again.

When you have a public official breaking the law they usually are indicted, and, if you use the public office on the dime of the taxpayer for nefarious reason and are caught they usually are indicted, and if not it hangs around your neck.

Like the crew working and was working for this hypocrite, because the evidence clearly showed that he knew, and then to have his cronies get convicted because of the servers say that they lied---------speaks volumes of how this Nixonite operates---------just like Nixon and Reagan.

What is really galling is the Wisconsin courts knew he was lying, who is more of a criminal ?
I say both him and the courts.

The people of country and your state have finally come to this realization-------------he is a failure and he's a liar.

This dog and pony show from this right wing group has no standing on anything-------------there justice does not appear to be equal or blind.

Your BOY, is going the way of Chris Christie, Rick Perry-----------they are being tossed form the clown car, and then off to jail, they go----------hi--ho, hi---ho, someday and in my opinion.

“I fear what happened when he decided to run for president is he decided to act like a politician instead of a leader,” said Rick Esenberg, founder of the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, a conservative think tank and legal organization based in Milwaukee."

And guess what there, zippy-------------he was always in it for himself, and has for being a so called leader-----------Bozo was leader when kids came home from school --------------

He reminds me of a cow with a ring in its nose, being led around the corn field by his right wing handlers----------------and his right wing agenda has finally caught up with him, because he is just plain stupid, the cow has more sense.

And, I know a candidate that is running for the presidency longer than your BOY,m because he talks the talk and walks the walk---------------not your BOY-----------its hate and fear

Oh, by the way:

Honk----------------for a political revolution Bernie 2016

Anyone, even his fellow republicans in Wisconsin, will soon be saying Walker..Scott who.. if they want to hold their own jobs. 2016 could very well see a house cleaning in Wisconsin.
