(1,968 posts)There was just a story on WGN that the department was being audited. It looks like the results of that audit won't be very flattering to the lieutenant.

(3,263 posts)harass the admin asking for the audit. The Fox Lake police chief stepped down before this suicide happened .
WGN I think has been doing a good job of reporting and also discussing this with experts they have brought in to comment on the case.

(3,194 posts)The wife and son who have lawyered up and are being investigated by the authorities?
I was attacked yesterday for wondering whether they were involved, and how they should not be entitled to his pension money if they had any idea of his embezzlement activities.
This story has legs, but I'm sure the police will minimize it, because of course, there is seldom such a thing as a "bad cop," and it might hurt their precious image.

(153,202 posts)and I am sorry for the family of a father who shoots himself, a family who may not receive pension proceeds - I know EXACTLY how that feels
do you really think those younger children were involved?
SoCalMusicLover
(3,194 posts)Yes, too bad for the younger children who may not have been involved. But guess what, daddy was a very bad human, and so if the only person legally entitled to his pension, wifeepoo, was involved, then that's a bummer, but the kids will have to find some other family to support them.
Or they can do a Go Fund Me page, and lots of idiot Pig supporters will be there to throw money at them.

(3,194 posts)They still had to spend countless hours, costing the taxpayers plenty of money, because after all....there is no such thing as a Bad Pig.
Oh well, they would say. It's not their money anyways, nor is the money that was embezzled by there former brother.
