Paris attacks: Hollande blames Islamic State for 'act of war'

Source: BBC

The near-simultaneous attacks in Paris that killed at least 127 people and wounded more than 180 were an "act of war" organised by Islamic State, says France's President Francois Hollande.

He said the attacks, carried out by eight gunmen and suicide bombers, were "organised and planned from outside".

Busy bars and restaurants, a music concert and a high-profile football match were all targeted.

Mr Hollande has declared three days of national mourning.

And knee jerk?

Closing borders to keep any other terrorists within France?

Meeting with his cabinet?

What exactly do you find objectionable with France's response?

129 People were murdered (another 352 injured - many critically) out of the acts of an group seeking to cause havoc across the world and have no credence for human life. If that's not an Act of War, what exactly do you define as a "Act of War"?

For FRANCE. The US, an ally of France -- will be dragged into the response. That is a fact. It is the reality. You can debate otherwise but the truth will be seen, shortly.

unless you are saying that the President is coordinating disparate PDs across the nation to achieve a deliberate result on the scale we say yesterday in Paris. And I reject that hypothesis.

It's like the "witches", a nebulous group that we never quite get to the bottom of, we simply have to fight them, and as we fight them they grow stronger and more and more of them.

And we get weaker and weaker, poorer and poorer, and our rights dwindle away.

..... aginst whom. The "Islamic State" of course. When one government attacks the people of another government , on their own territory none the less , it's an act of war.

Sort of like Pearl Harbor.

They're not telling us the full story....is likely true. However, its' doubt France Government will not respond to whatever they know is true and the US will not be dragged into whatever the real truth is.

German-held suspect 'linked to Paris attackers'

A man arrested in southern Germany last week, who had weapons including machine guns and explosives in his car, was "likely linked to attackers in Paris", German media reported on Saturday.

Police in the southern region of Bavaria confirmed the arrest on November 5 during a routine check on a motorway, saying "many machine guns, revolvers and explosives" were found in the vehicle of the suspect.

However, the police spokesman would not confirm the link with Friday's attacks in Paris that left more than 120 people dead.

"I cannot tell you what he was planning to do with the weapons," he added.
Focus Online reported that the man was from Montenegro and that he has refused to speak in prison and not hired a lawyer to defend his case.
