Kohler makes 'last, best offer'

Source: Sheboygan Press

With the current contract set to expire at midnight Saturday and the union poised to vote on whether to strike, Kohler Co. officials said in a letter to the union’s bargaining committee Saturday that they have provided union workers their "last, best and final offer.”

The company is proposing a three-year contract that increases pay each year of the contract.

“We urge serious consideration and your acceptance of our offer when you vote on Sunday,” the company said . Attached please find a copy of our last, best and final offer in its entirety.

Details of the offer include:

$1,200 bonus for Tier A associates, and Tier B associates will receive a $1,000 bonus to help cover an increase in health care premiums.

Something says, your pay raise is going to our Company Health and Welfare owned Insurance company. If this goes walk out, going to be devastating for all of South Eastern Wisconsin, but Snotty Scotty will does his chest pounding how his non union policies as so damn great.

Oh yeah.

I live fairly close to it.

I hope they don't strike.

Some families are still broken apart by the 1951 strike.

(Always wondered...does Kohler refuse to hire "Fine Craftswomen"?)

Good for them. Hope they win.

(Kind of hard to organize a "Boycott Sinks and Toilets" campaign, though).
