Russia plane crash: 'Terror act' downed A321 over Egypt's Sinai (Official Russian Verdict)
Source: BBC
Russia's security chief says a "terror act" brought down the Russian A321 airliner in Egypt last month, killing all 224 people on board.
"Traces of foreign explosives" were found on debris from the Airbus plane, FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov told Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Mr Putin vowed to "find and punish" those responsible for the attack over the Sinai peninsula. An Islamic State affiliate has claimed the attack.
Nearly all the dead were Russians.

(13,616 posts)Not that it was not likely that this was DAESH, but now Russia can also claim a reason to go ahead and start blasting everyone and everything.
As horrible as this sounds, if the US can abandon Hillary's mantra that "Assad must go" we could in effect see the greatest alliance in war since WWII, where FDR, Churchill, Stalin and De Gaulle all managed to choke down their inherent hatred of each other long enough to destroy the Nazis. Sadly, for all the fear of Godwin's Law, IS seems all to ready to play the part of the Third Reich.

(2,103 posts)Moscow (AFP) - Russia's federal security service (FSB) on Tuesday said it would pay $50 million for information about "terrorists" who brought down the plane in Sinai last month with 224 people on board.
The FSB appealed for "help in identifying the terrorists" that exploded a bomb on the A321 plane travelling from Egypt to Russia. "There will be a reward of $50 million for information helping to arrest the criminals," it said on its website.

Putin/Egypt should really allow some experts from other countries take a look at the evidence. Other then grabbing up the many, many airport food/luggage/cleaner workers(and torturing them) who had access to the plane. More should be done than a swab to detect "Traces of foreign explosives".
Mr Putin vowed to "find and punish" those responsible for the attack.
"Islamic State affiliate has claimed the attack."
There they are Mr. Putin. Please don't expect "USA boots on the ground" from your American warmonger friends.
