Kasich Proposes New Government Agency To Promote Judeo-Christian Values

Source: NBC News

As part of a broad national security plan to defeat ISIS, Republican Presidential candidate John Kasich proposed creating a new government agency to push Judeo-Christian values around the world.

The new agency, which he hasn't yet named, would promote a Jewish- and Christian-based belief system to four regions of the world: China, Iran, Russia and the Middle East.

"We need to beam messages around the world" about the freedoms Americans enjoy, Kasich said in an interview with NBC News Tuesday. "It means freedom, it means opportunity, it means respect for women, it means freedom to gather, it means so many things."

He defended creating a new government agency at a time when fellow Republican presidential candidates discuss eliminating government agencies to making the government smaller.

Said it before, I'll say it again.

This guy is the scariest whack job on the stage at those debates. His skill is managing his message so you don't know what he's thinking.

the good news is that he must be feeling desperate because the "real John-boy" is starting to leach out around the edges.

I can only hope that he ends up screwing this up so badly that nobody will even consider him for VP. Right now, with Ohio in play, I have to think he's at least a possibility and that is a heartbeat too close for me.

Kasich is no f'ing "moderate".

He spent enough time in corporate america to know how to say what needs to be said without anyone knowing what you really think. I spent 29 years in a corporate job. By the time I got into "management" I had been well trained to know how to "hold my tongue" when necessary. For the last 10-12 years, I suspect there were only 5-7 close friends who knew my real politics.

Kasich had the same training.

And underneath that "gotta be pragmatic" facade, he's as off the rails as Carson, Huckabee or Santorum on the role of church in state. The difference is he knows you can't say it in public and look "moderate".

Don't be fooled.

I am not fooled by anyone who calls himself a Republican. They can pretend all the day long that they are moderate and say things that sound moderate. But they are all cut from the same cloth. If someone who seems moderate is elected, it is like he wakes up the morning after the election and find a horse's head in his bed. Or is tapped by the Republican crazy wand and toes the official line. Look at Kasich's voting record, how his agenda was imposed on Ohio, and how in big grabs and small, Ohio citizens have lost so much. He doesn't just support the official Republican agenda, he is writing the contract.

They all claim to carry copies of the Constitution in their pockets. I think maybe they never removed the wrappers?

The Toledo Blade's coverage included this:

“One of my daughters last night said, ’Why are you not going to let these people come in? What’s that about, Daddy?’” Mr. Kasich said. He said he told her, ’Reesey, we understand these people are in trouble, but think about, Reesey, us putting somebody on our street, in our town, or in our country, who mean us harm. We can’t do that, can we Reese?’ ’I understand now Daddy why you said what you said,’“ he related.

https://www.toledoblade.com/Politics/2015/11/17/Kasich-urges-foreign-policy-backing-Judeo-Christian-values.html

Reesey is 15. I don't believe his simplistic answer would satisfy a 15 year old. Mine would probably have had way more questions. Like, Do the orphans and children mean to harm us? Luckily, even his crowd pressed him on it today:

The Q-and-A period afterward was dominated by critical questions about his position on Syrian refugees, including that there was no evidence that the existing vetting process isn’t good enough, until Mr. Kasich said he’d talked enough about the refugees.

Chug the whole beer every time the unconstitutional plank has something to do with religion.

Make it a bourbon with a beer chaser if they plan to infringe on the religious liberties of any non-Christian religion.

And make it two shots of bourbon if Islam is the religion in question.

He's Walkers twin. He's a Teabagger. He has systematically destroyed Ohio. Please research the guy!

Edited to add this from my post last week....
He is a tea bagging sun of a gun. First year in office he cut all budgets, schools included and municipalities had to make up the difference. The citizens of Ohio had to pick up the mess and pay at home. Before he came into office he tried to bilk millions from retirement accounts to line his own pockets. He sold us to the frackers and Ohioans pay to clean up the mess. When he came to office he stopped legislation to clean up the deadly blue green algae on Lake Erie saying it was caused by just a few bad apples and now six years later he proposes that the taxpayers clean up the mess by paying additional taxes. He gave the profits from the State liquor sales to a privatized board that was supposed to create jobs. Jobs Ohio, check it out. His original plan was to hire a man from California to run it. That man's salary was to be one dollar. Do you see anything fishy there? In addition to this the jobs board is an unauditable entity, run by a private board with State tax dollars! In the meantime the city of Toledo had to shut off all city water causing hospitals to cancel all procedures. The lake is a disaster that didn't wait to happen! This man ....is not to be trusted!
