Obama says GOP incitement on Syria refugees 'needs to stop'

Source: AP

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — President Barack Obama lashed out Wednesday at Republicans who insist on barring Syrian refugees from entering the U.S., deeming their words offensive and insisting "it needs to stop."

"Apparently they're scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America," Obama said.
Mocking GOP leaders for thinking they're tough, Obama said overblown rhetoric from Republicans could be a potent recruitment tool for the Islamic State group. He insisted the U.S. process for screening refugees for possible entry into the U.S. is rigorous and said the U.S. doesn't make good decisions "based on hysteria" or exaggerated risk.

"We are not well served when in response to a terrorist attack we descend into fear and panic," the president said.

Obama's comments during a meeting with Philippine President Benigno Aquino marked his harshest condemnation yet of Republicans' response to the Paris attacks blamed on IS that killed 129 people last week. Republicans in Congress and on the 2016 presidential trail have urged an immediate closure of America's borders to Syrian refugees, but the Obama administration has shown no sign of backing off its plans to bring an additional 10,000 Syrians fleeing civil war into the U.S.

Note to AP: "lashing out" improperly used, but would be properly used for all the GOP hatespeech.

Try it out in a headline pointing out the insanity of the GOP hate!

4. And the GOP gets their dirty media "friends" to help in changing the subject

The real story should be ISIS and how it was created by the neo con/bush & Cheney
Iraqi war and that now we have a massive refugee problem from people fleeing ISIS
and ISIS' use of terror in Paris, the Russian jet that was bombed, and the hell on earth
that they have unleashed in Syria and Iraq but the subject is LOOK AT THOSE REFUGEES
THEY MUST BE TERRORISTS.

Another example of the GOP / Media changing the subject was in the summer of 2001
when we heard about shark attacks and Gary Condit / Chandra Levy 24-7 when the real
story was the dead intern on Joe Scarborough's office floor.

12. I wish there was a way to keep him as a spokesman for this country

even after his second term is over. He is just so good at representing us as an intelligent, wise and compassionate President. I'm so glad he was President in my lifetime. It's not often I feel this way about anyone. I've never been so proud of a President before...I was too young and not into politics with Kennedy, but I did like him and was sad when he was killed. I would have loved to see his brother as President. That is another man I would have been totally proud of and it was a real tragedy for this country that we lost both brothers.

18. Obama doesn't want the US in Syria, he avoided involvement as much as possible

We don't need their resources like before, the US is now an exporter of oil. The people don't have enough power to sort it out, their country is full of foreigners who are using it for a base and using them and killing them. And now Isis is attacking Europe from that base, so the war will widen.

Do you think Isis will just decide to stop attacking Europe and threatening to attack the US? They want recruits, they want attention plus they're desperate because they are slowly losing ground.
