Fla poll: Trump 36%, Rubio 18%, Carson 15%, Cruz 10%, Bush 9%

A newly released poll of likely Florida Republican primary voters by the Florida Atlantic University Business and Economics Polling Initiative shows Donald Trump with a two-to-one advantage over everybody else and former Gov. Jeb Bush in fifth place, behind Ted Cruz.
Despite conjecture that Donald Trump has plateaued, his support in Florida remains very strong and could be growing, said Kevin Wagner, Ph.D., associate professor of political science at FAU and a research fellow of the Initiative.
On the Democratic side, the Nov. 15-16 survey found Hillary Clinton crushing Bernie Sanders 66 percent to 22 percent. But continues to trail in head-to-head matchups with the Republican frontrunners, trailing Carson 50 percent to 41 percent, and Trump 49 percent to 41 percent.

Absent a criminal scandal, I'd say the Republican establishment has about 60 days to change the dynamics of the race (possibly forcing out the lesser candidates?) to stop Trumps forward momentum, or he will start racking up wins in the early States and possible Super Tuesday.

(2,100 posts)I was seriously flabbergasted at the number of Republicans I've talked to who enthusiastically supported McCain/Palin. Even some of my own family members. I didn't think my brother was so bad - even as a Republican - until we got into a conversation about Palin and he became furious when I criticized and mocked her. I mean I just assumed any sane person could see what a moron she was. I couldn't quite look at him the same after that. I just had no idea someone could be so deluded.
And now this, this inconceivable thing happening. Trump with a huge lead in the polls and Carson in second place. What kind of universe am I living in? It really makes you rethink your worldview and gives me a deep pessimism about my country.
