Planned Parenthood denies DeWine's report on fetal remains disposal
Source: Cincinnati Enquirer
Planned Parenthood facilities in Cincinnati, Columbus and southeast of Cleveland violated regulations by disposing of aborted fetuses in landfills, the Ohio attorney generals office found. The investigation did not uncover any instances of fetal tissue sold.
In releasing the results of the investigation, Attorney General Mike DeWine said, Disposing of aborted fetuses from an abortion by sending them to a landfill is callous and completely inhumane. It is important the public be aware that these practices are taking place at these Ohio facilities.
But Planned Parenthood flatly denied DeWine's conclusion: "This is not true," said Stephanie Kight, president and chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. "Planned Parenthood contracts with vendors to handle fetal tissue in a respectful manner and in accordance with the law. It is irresponsible for the AG to say otherwise."
The investigation by the attorney generals Charitable Law Section was launched this summer after video appeared on the Internet apparently showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing how to abort fetuses so the tissue would be in the best condition to be sold.

(90,719 posts)Technically, any human tissue from any surgical procedure would be medical waste and have to be handled accordingly. No landfills.
Opponents don't want tissue donated for research, either. What do they want? Funerals? ....Well, probably.
