Trump: 'Great Honor' to Get Compliments from Putin

Source: abc News

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump seems to have a new fan in his corner –- Vladimir Putin -- an the real estate mogul thinks it was a "great honor" to get compliments from the Russian leader ...

Trump tells ABC News in a statement that “it is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond.”

"I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect,” Trump’s statement continued.

I'd find this whole thing amusing if I didn't have to live on this planet.

"He wants to move to a different level of relations, to more solid, deeper relations with Russia and how can Russia not welcome that – we welcome that.”

Can this kind of aspiration from Russia towards our country given the past two decades or so - regardless of the person of focus - be all that bad for our current world?

As well, imagine Don and Melania sitting next to Vlad and his mystery lady at a hockey game when neither country is bombing others in the future... would it really be a matter of "Winner takes gall"?

I was posting Trumps reply. I took particular note of this:-

it is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond.

No doubt Trump considers himself 'a man so highly respected' as well.

"Putin provided the missile that the rebel forces or Russian troops used to shoot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over the Ukraine"

Botany, will you please provide some uncontested, newsworthy links of this contention other than the continuously revised "Wikipedia" entity? I will certainly consider your claim and thank you.

Anyway, regarding, "BTW Putin was head of the KGB too," it's the case that Bush 1, prior to his Presidency, headed up our "KGB", i.e. CIA. So?

In the face of Russia's S-400s (>3km/sec) now in Syria, we're thankful for John Kerry's hard work in Moscow this past week because I and my partner wish for some peace and the end to so much bloodletting in the Middle East over these last 20+ years.

Next to endorse Donald Trump. Just for fun, it would be a hoot to hear what his supporters have to say about this move. Sounds like the basis for an Onion article.

I'm sure he would like to see President Trump make America great again.

Or maybe Ol' Pooty wants to see America fall apart like the USSR.
