Ben Carson plans staff shakeup in coming days
Source: Washington Post
KEENE, NH - Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is seeking to take control of his struggling presidential campaign, saying in an interview that his drop in the polls is the fault of his advisers and that he plans to shake up his staff in the coming days.
Carson, sitting alone Wednesday in the basement of his Maryland house, said that no ones job is safe. He complained about budgetary management in a campaign that has spent millions and called some of his top staffers overpaid and ineffective in broadcasting his message.
Im looking at every aspect of the campaign right now. Everything is on the table, every job is on the table. And were going to analyze it very carefully, Carson said. Its not perfect and were going to work on it.
I want to see more efficiency in terms of the way money is utilized, he added, saying he is frustrated with his campaign being described by critics as a rat hole for small-dollar donations.

From that little point alone (and forgetting all the bizarre crap you've put forward yourself) it's clear you don't understand Leadership.

Oh, and Bernie would be appreciative of those small donations. Mr. Carson can donate the ones he doesn't want.

(78,249 posts)In the statement, released hours after a pair of interviews in which he hinted at a major staff shakeup, Carson said, "We are refining some operational practice sand streamlining some staff assignments to more aptly match the tasks ahead, but my senior team remains in place with my full confidence, and they will continue to execute our campaign plan."
Earlier, in an interview with the Associated Press, Carson said "everything is on the table" regarding changes to his campaign. "I'm looking carefully."
The AP noted that the interview was conducted without the knowledge of Carson's campaign manager, Barry Bennett. Carson also participated in an interview Wednesday with the Washington Post.

(50,560 posts)About the only way to revive the flagging Ben Carson campaign is to fire the candidate and get a different Ben Carson in there. The Carson campaign has a very simple problem: It's very hard to sell a hard-right isolationist Christian dominionist with no experience in elected office if he's less exciting than a bowl of Cream of Wheat. He could probably pull off the same trick if he was fun to listen to like Trump is, but when you're this fucking boring it's a different story.
Ben Carson is a weird mishmash...a mixture of Donald Trump's lunacy, Ted Cruz' religious insanity, and Calvin Coolidge's dullness. Carson is the first candidate in history to have an LD50 rating on his stump speech: forcing 100 people to go to a Carson campaign rally caused half of them to die of boredom. Carson's selling point is his excellence at brain surgery; unfortunately, his crowning achievement seems to be the invention of the autonomous bilateral hemispherectomy.
I think as soon as the governors drop out of this race, Carson is soon to follow.

(12,655 posts)i expect this to be followed by meetings with donors, assurances that he is NoT quitting, staff layoffs, loud protestations to the media that the campaign is not over, and then a few weeks later, an "announcement."

(11,093 posts)So, too, should be Trump, except Trump has enough Vegas savvy to keep his winning streak alive longer than most (apparently for worse, not better, but that's beside the point here).

(1,859 posts)I don't think it was his dumb comments because trump doesn't come off any brighter and that crowd doesn't seem to mind.
I think the people that weren't racists were supporting the black man/brain surgeon because they couldn't stand trump. then when Carson tried to be as racist as Trump, they bailed on him.
