Sanders on Trump: 'We Have More Things to Worry About Than Bill Clinton's Sexual Life'

Source: ABC (Local NYC affiliate)

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders slammed Republican front-runner Donald Trump for his attacks on Bill Clinton and what he deemed his false campaign rhetoric, suggesting Trump turn his attention to real issues facing the American people, like climate change and the minimum wage.

"We have more things to worry about than Bill Clinton's sexual life," Sanders said Sunday on ABC's "This Week."

Sanders also stood by his previous statement that Trump is a "pathological liar."

"I do not get engaged in personal attacks but Trump is over the edge," he said. "The guy just comes up with things off the top of his head that are lies and someone has to say that."

After all, we know that Bernie and his supporters won't do anything other than personally attack Hillary.

Could it be they stand by Hillary when it comes to these GOP horse droppings? Could it be they ARE loyal to this party? Could it be they have serious policy differences with the Third Way and want to have a fair and honest debate?

Say it ain't so.

He should have used the "sarcasm" tag, because a lot of people took him seriously.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

This guy is intimating that Bernie people aren't good dems, that they lie and have no character. There is nothing here that is debate, only invective of the personal kind. I doubt that it matters if someone questions another's party loyalty and gets called on their personal invective but I have hope

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Jan 3, 2016, 10:40 AM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Whoever flagged this needs to read a LOT more closely. The original poster should have used the sarcasm tthingie, but the alerter is way off base on this one.

Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I'm a Bernie supporter, and I personally think the poster was just being sarcastic. I'm not 100% sure, but when in doubt, you must acquit.

Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, have no clue what "invective" means and even I got that it was sarcasm....

I was definitely being sarcastic and I appear to have offended people with whom I stand in complete solidarity.

Again, I am sorry.

and there are a few who are more anti-Hillary than pro-anything, so you may as well admit that. You may not be one of them, but denying they exists and being sarcastic about it is not a truth, either.

Trump should also remember the adage about "People in glass houses ..." - thrice-married and with a string of affairs in his background. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump#Personal_life

Why the media not only lets The Donald get away with, but encourages such sh** is maddening for everyone, especially anyone who wants to see actual political discourse that discusses real issues and Bernie does want that. Trump has absolutely nothing to offer but epithets and slurs.

... he also offers ratings. That is all the media really cares about when it comes to these things. All campaign finance is inevitably related to the prices they get to set by creating a controversy or a tight race... they salivate at the possibility of distracting us with 8 years of Hillary vs. the gop as they further rig the system and pillage the citizens' bank accounts...
