Fans sue Rams over move
Source: KMOV
ST. LOUIS (AP) A lawsuit filed by four Rams fans from St. Louis claims owner Stan Kroenke and others lied about their desire to keep the team in St. Louis, violating Missouri law.
The suit alleges that Kroenke and chief operating officer Kevin Demoff made false and misleading statements indicating the team had no intention to move.
The suit claims the Rams violated the law in connection with ticket and merchandise sales.
Messages seeking comment Thursday from the Rams were not immediately returned.

Even if they win, that's just pocket change for the Wally World 1%

(17,865 posts)If a judge decides to honor them for the new stadium, it could be a significant amount. There is a PSL exchange still showing prices in the $1000s.

(9,897 posts)Its the only thing that people like that scum bag owner understand. Make him pay an additional price to get his way, that would be poetic justice.

That doesn't change the fact that they've been unfairly enriching themselves for decades with these stadium deals at the expense of taxpayers or the fact that it's the only major sports league in which the players don't have guaranteed contracts.

(3,077 posts)... I regret that I failed to add the stadium caveat. That in itself is something I have railed against in discussions. Your first paragraph is one of the points I was implying. Plus the recent concern about concussions, although they were dragged into it kicking in screaming. Is there any other organization that shares all the way down to the bottom such as this? The profit sharing, the NFLPA strength, etc...
I am just trying to raise awareness without resorting to a 5000 word post.
Thanks.
