(11,843 posts)What does "wheels turning fine" even mean? Likely this was a cobbled together meme and the fabricator thought "The millstones of the gods grind late, but they grind fine" was too wordy and didn't sound Asian enough...

(4,234 posts)In its most common form, it evidently comes from Longfellow. "The mills of the Gods grind slow but they grind exceeding fine."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mills_of_God
But Longfellow was evidently putting something into poetic form from an earlier time. Plutarch and some others are supposed to have said something like it. Probably Sun Tzu also said something like it, but in my very quick google search I couldn't find it.

I don't think he believes half of what he spews but he is a loser grifter, and an overall piece of shit-

(49,007 posts)I think the Feds were much smarter than you and arrested him when he was flying with no guns and no armed bodyguards.
It's easy for you to throw law enforcement officers needlessly into harm's way.
The Feds bided their time, wisely.

(14,014 posts)Grand Jury indictment can take up to five years, but in many cases (like terrorism) can take as long as the statute of limitations allows, often many years.
Despite my apparent miss-attribution (above) of the commonly heard quote -about justice moving slowly- it holds true, no matter who said it.

(1,484 posts)As I understand it, "the ranch" is already totally buried in a lien stemming from non payment of grazing fees. So how will they pay for their defense? Any chance that Alex Jones will pony up for it? (bad pun intended)

Could it be we have a new Attorney General as to why this is finally coming down? the last one seemed to be scared in his own skin and wouldn't stand up to anyone about anything except kids smoking pot

(18,636 posts)...Any two of those charges are serious time in the federal pen. Of course this means if they live to see parole they'll never handle a firearm again. They got in way over their heads.

(8,175 posts)They probably will handle firearms again. Which is why not one of them should ever be released.

Those guys committed the worst crime NOT on the books.... contempt of cop. Whether at the local level or the Federal level, LEOs don't like to be made to look foolish.
I grew up in Detroit, where it only took one player to play cops and robbers. First thing I learned was to NOT mess with the cops.

If they realize that they are looking at life in prison they will learn to use legal means to protest.
I bet the other people involved in the 2014 episode are shaking in their shoes. They could all be deemed guilty of the same crimes.
