Meg Whitman calls Christie’s endorsement of Trump ‘an astonishing display of political opportunism’

Meg Whitman, the Hewlett-Packard chief executive who served as the national finance co-chairman for Chris Christie’s failed presidential campaign, is calling the New Jersey governor’s endorsement of Republican frontrunner Donald Trump “an astonishing display of political opportunism.”

“Donald Trump is unfit to be president,” Whitman said in a statement Sunday. “He is a dishonest demagogue who plays to our worst fears. Trump would take America on a dangerous journey.

“Christie knows all that and indicated as much many times publicly,“ she continued. “The governor is mistaken if he believes he can now count on my support, and I call on Christie’s donors and supporters to reject the governor and Donald Trump outright. I believe they will. For some of us, principle and country still matter.”

“Well, listen, I love Meg Whitman,” Christie said on ABC’s "This Week” Sunday. “She’s a great friend to me and to Mary Pat, always has been. We obviously, from that statement, have a difference of political opinion. And that’s OK. That’s what makes this country great is that people can have differences of political opinion.”

I was thinking along the lines that by being VP, it would be a stepping stone to becoming a future President.

It is much more damning from a colleague and former supporter than it would be from one of us.

And, she hit the nail on the head.

Because the Klown Kar they are using this year is from the late 20's.
So it could match their politics!!!

Hasn't everyone noticed that yet?

The Republicans don't want to talk about the future.
They only want to talk about "the good ol' days".

They don't care what happens in 2020, they only want to talk about the way it was back in 1920.

So, they want to stop Social Security, drop Medicare, wipe out Medicaid, kill off the Departments of Education and the EPA, and then they want to keep talking incessantly about how it is not the federal government's place to keep homeless people off the streets, give people jobs, provide for the education of our children, allow equal opportunity for minorities of any kind, feed the hungry, or take care of our veterans.

A great group of guys the GOP has got there . . . they're Herbert Hoover fans all the way!!

by anything either Christie or Trump did, or political opportunism. Then I read closer, and this is the woman who outspent Gov. Jerry Brown three to one and still got clobbered in California and is now picking up the pieces of the Carly Fiorina destroyed HP.
