Once management knew Armstrong & Getty were going across the street to Cumulus, they were quick to announce Stephanie Miller would take over their morning slot on Talk 910 (KKSF-AM). iHeart San Francisco V.P. of Programming Don Parker said, “The Bay Area is arguably the most progressive market in the nation. This move aligns Talk 910 with the predominant sentiment of the region in all prime dayparts, delivering compelling progressive or lifestyle content throughout the day.”

Bad news though: A&G (libertarians) will move to the morning drive on KGO 810, replacing the KGO Morning News, and Ronn Owens will move to afternoons on conservative station KSFO 560. KGO, in fact, has cancelled all of its regular weekday programming including its afternoon news show. Couldn't compete with KCBS and KQED, I guess.

Hosted the local PBS fundraiser and was always all over his assistant Bunny.

The moved to SF where he very publicly registered as a Republican so he could vote for Shrub so he could get the idiot on the ballot, which he considered a shoo-in for the Dems.

Then he defended Shrub left and right.

2. We used to have

a progressive radio station in the Bay Area after the demise of AirAmerica, Green 960. Stephanie Miller had the morning show. The liberal programming was replaced a few years ago by conservative, because the Bay Area has soooo many conservatives. Glad to see some progressive radio coming back.

Their programming and their staff was great. I may be mistaken but my understanding is that Clear Channel owned the Green 960 channel and once Mitt Romney became a candidate for President the future of progressive radio was over in San Francisco and in most of the country. Either because Romney was their buddy or he had an ownership interest.

Stephanie Miller used to be a good show before it turned into a 3 hour Clinton love in.

And KGO used to be a pretty good station before it went all news. Remember the "how come you're callin a Loy-yuh" guy?

5. I stopped listening to Stephanie

I listened every morning (right after The Bill Press Show) until one of her staff (forget his name) left for a job (in Palm Springs?).
Since then the show has become too noisy, chaotic, and just plain dumb.
Constant interruptions, sound effects, and stupid jokes.

I like progressive news, interviews, and commentary, but Stephanie has become too juvenile.
It's really deteriorated, in my humble opinion.

Stephanie's show is very entertaining, and Rocky Mountain Mike's audios are hilarious.

I listen to her on Tunein's Progressive Voices every morning during the rush hour commute.
