Venezuela travels forward in time half an hour to help ease energy crisis

Nicolás Maduro rolls back measure enacted by Hugo Chávez to provide more daylight during hours of peak energy consumption amid drought conditions

Venezuela has reversed a half-hour time change that was one of the signature measures of former president Hugo Chávez’s idiosyncratic 14-year rule.

Chávez turned Venezuela’s clocks back 30 minutes in 2007 so that children could wake up for school in daylight.

But his successor, Nicolás Maduro, has decided to return to the previous system, four hours behind GMT, to ensure more daylight in the evening when energy consumption peaks.

These news articles get posted about Maduro, and we say "Who cares?"

That country is going down the sewer, and these little gestures by Maduro aren't going to do squat.

When the dictator has an IQ of a snail, and couldn't run a lemonade stand properly, what do you think will happen?

Venezuela is going to crap.

They can't even feed their people, with the most mineral rich country on the planet.

The Chavistas are filling up their Panamanian bank accounts like there is no tomorrow though.....
