(7,901 posts)If there had been sufficient and proper public notice it would have failed as it did in Tennessee. The NC public outrage over it has been stunning. If we were a bit less polite in our political behavior I have a feeling that several prominent leaders of the legislature would have a very difficult time trying to park at work or home. Vox Populi can be a dangerous thing when stirred.
The bill also changed several conditions of municipal laws so that towns and cities cannot mandate a local minimum wage, and several other types of traditionally local ordinances. the law also prohibits anyone from suing for damages resulting from the law, which violates several federal statutes, and the State and US Constitutions.

(49,002 posts)Despite its reference to a topical controversy, this item was nothing more than another fabrication from World News Daily Report (WNDR), a clickbait web site that traffics in fake news stories. WNDR's disclaimer notes that all of the site's articles are "entirely fictional" and that any resemblance to the truth in them is "purely a miracle":
WNDR assumes however all responsibility for the satirical nature of its articles and for the fictional nature of their content. All characters appearing in the articles in this website even those based on real people are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any persons, living, dead, or undead is purely a miracle.

(1,254 posts)They did in Georgia. The legislature in George was messing around with a bill when Indiana passed theirs. After the public fallout in Indiana, the Georgia legislature scrapped the idea until a few months ago. They thought the issued had died down for a year. THEY WERE WRONG. As we know, Governor Nathan Deal VETOED the bill. Will they try again? Maybe.

Wouldnt work in an arena but regular businesses could do it. And it'd be cheaper too.
