OSBI investigates 2 weekend deaths at Oklahoma County Jail

An inmate found Joseph Carter Wilson, 30, and Cody Joe McDonald, 28, hanging inside their cells Friday and Sunday, respectively, officials said. Wilson and McDonald were the only inmates inside their cells.

Wilson had been booked at the jail since early October for multiple felony complaints, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, indecent exposure, assault and battery on police officers, and planning to perform an act of violence involving serious bodily injury. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

McDonald was booked into the jail May 11 on eight felony complaints, including drugs and weapons violations, officials said.

The Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to make an official ruling on their deaths.
